Tool #11
Some of my favorite tools that I came across while experiencing 11 tools are Learning games for kids, Tutpup, Google docs, Skype, using different apps for iPad, and poll everywhere. I would love to use my iPad in my work stations to reinforce learning and reserach projects; especially with my ESL students and teaching in a two way dual classroom. I have transformed my thinking about learning in my classroom by incorporating more technology in my classroom using these 11 tools. I feel like I am at a good starting point with technology by having the ActivBoard, computers, ipad, etc.
Tool #10
I would want my students to understand that digital citizenship is staying safe and effective while using all technology. Utilizing for good reasons and learn how to make good decisions while using it. Technology is one of the best things that could have happened for 21 century learners. There are so many skills that students can learn from by using technology. As teachers, we all know that students all learn differently. I would use brain Pop to teach about digital citizenship through using their videos and tutorials about digital citizenship. I would teach my students about digital citizenship through brain pop, tech night, projects, and research skills. Atomic learning also has items to be used in the classroom. I could share ideas with my parents through back to school night, TAKS night, letters sent home, tech night at school, take home projects, etc.

Tool #9
I think it's important to tie technology into the objective because our world is all about technology, our kids are all about technology, so why not tie school and curriculum into technology. It seems that children these days are more tech savy than some of us so why not have them study using technology. We should hold students accountable for work stations because we need to know that students are actually learning and understanding the skills being presented in that work station. The purpose of work stations is for students to reinforce learning and collaborate with a partner. As teachers we need to know if that work station is effective or not. I vistied LEarning games for kids and Tutpup. I like how Learning games for kids has many different games using vocabulary, spelling, and keyboarding (skills teachers sometimes run out of time to teach in a given day. I like how the site has games practicing short vowels, state nicknames and Ben Franklin True or False; these are all fun games the kids would enjoy and learn facts at the same time. Another site I visited was Tutpup. I like how you can practice math skills such as subtraction, addition, multiplication, and division. I can use these inwork stations by setting them up on my iPad or computer station. The students can work with their partners and I can provide a short quiz sheet after their center is done. They can practice on the computer and quiz each other after they are done. The two iPad apps I can use in my classroom is Fraction Factory and Kids Math Advanced. I can set up the studens to work with partners using two iPads. I can hold them accoutable by having them write down their score and recording it on a chart so they can see progress. Other ways they can use the iPad is by researching for projects, games, checking their email etc.
Tool # 8
I can't wait to us my iPad in my classroom. I have a personal iPad and want to at least use both in a work station and for projects. The kids can use al kinds of apps for every subject. I purchased this book called iLearn, iTeach by Patsy Lanclos. It's a book with all kinds of apps for the curriculum. The book has apps for iTouch, iPhone, and iPad. I like how I can downlaod age appropriate and grade appropriate material for ALL my students. For example it has apps for multiplication, long division and fractions. I have download some apps on my iPad for my children like sight words in Spanish and English, ABC's, math explosion, even an app for my 2nd grader to practice cursive. I feel that my studens can use the iPad for work stations, projects, and games. I can't wait to get started.

Tool #7
I will collaborate with another teacher on my campus, Reesa Nevarez. She teaches resource so I am super excited for all of our students to work together on a project. She will be working closely with me next year as I teach 4th grade. This will be an excellent opportunity to do a project together. We could use Google Docs and skype to collaborate between classes. When we study famous people in social studies, we could have 2 students share a person and work together on timelines, famous events, and characteristics about that person via skype and putting the info on google docs.
Content Obj: famous people in 4th grade history
When I plan to implement: 2nd 9 weeks - when I return off of leave
Tools: google docs and skype
Plan: Famous people in 4th grade history. Study and research famous people and design a timeline with famous events and characteristics about that person.

Tool #5
I can incorporate storybird by having my students compose stories and practice their vocabulary. Especially my second language learners. My fourth graders can use their language skills such as grammar and practice writing and creating stories in storybird.
In animoto my students can create videos using the different concepts we are learning in the classroom. They can create math, reading, science and social studies videos using animoto.

Tool #4
I can use google docs with my teammates or other teachers by creating documents and being able to share them easily. If another teacher and I are working on a project with our students then we can eaily share back and forth using google docs. We can make changes, comment and edit our project and save easily. I am excited about using the documents and presentation parts of goolge docs with my students.
Tool #3 -videos and pictures
I went into google and went into the picass web album and looked up several pictures. I used the remix filter and found that my students could search any photos and use them in projects and presentations. I like how the photos are vivid in color.
As far as the videos I used teacher tube and school tube to find useful videos to ue in my classroom.

Tool #2 - continued
So I joined classroom 2.0 to get ideas and see what others have to say about technology in your classroom. I browsed through some of the videos and they have some helpful ideas for your classroom.
Tool #2
I find blogging useful with my teammates. I feel we can share ideas and lesson plan ideas online at the touch of a finger. I like how I can see peoples comments, concerns, challenges, and celebrations. I am really looking foward to using this in my classroom and sharing with my team. I also like how other teachers set up links and webpages to learn from and share ideas. I was browsing some other teachers pages and found very useful links to use in math and language arts. Thanks for sharing everyone!!! Sharing my ideas publicly is something to get used to but I like it.
